About AAILP

The American Academy of Immigration Legal Professionals (AAILP), a d/b/a of Citizenship America®, operates globally and offers immigration law training to lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants. Members are in North America, Europe and Latin America and host organizations offer courses leading to exclusive immigration training and designations to candidates who meet high standards.

If you are seeking to improve your education, resume, or credentials, then you are taking  a step to a better career by achieving AAILP designations. You can gain certification as an immigration professional, asylum specialist, family immigration specialist, business immigration specialist and business investor specialist. AAILP also offers the Master Immigration Professional designation. A special course offered in the United States teaches lawyers how to either start an immigration law practice or add immigration law to an existing practice.

AAILP currently recognizes over lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants and other immigration professionals as members in seven nations and the number is growing. Due to the academic credentials of the Advisory Board and lecturers, AAILP is the organization of choice for legal professionals who devote their lives and careers to immigration law.

Currently, AAILP offers seven designations approved by the Advisory Board of distinguished scholars and practitioners. Each designation requires qualification through education, experience, and/or testing to assure compliance with the board standards.  Education may be gained through recognized degrees, accepted courses from colleges and universities or specially designed AAILP courses. Examinations for AAILP courses are administered internationally at approved testing centers
