Depuis sa création, l’Académie africaine de la pratique du droit international à considérablement développé ses actions et établi des relations tant sur le plan national qu’international. Des antennes ont été créées, des conventions signées, des jumelages ou partenariats mis en place.

Jus Mundi is a comprehensive, multilingual, user-friendly and intelligent search engine for international law. It covers over 16,000 international law and investor-state arbitration documents, including treaties, ICJ, PCIJ, PCA, ITLOS, ICSID and other arbitration institutions, UNCITRAL, IUSCT documents (judgments, arbitral awards, orders, pleadings, etc.), and decisions of the Mixed Claims Commissions.

The AIIL was established by the African Foundation for International Law in close collaboration with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania.   Its establishment was endorsed by the Assembly of Heads of States and Governments of the African Union, which underscored its strategic and unique role as a Pan African institution.   Similarly, the United Nations General Assembly welcomed the creation of the Institute and encouraged the UN Secretariat to cooperate with it through the Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs.
